Yes, use it for fresh stems if the inner surface is glazed; for peace of mind with crude finishes we recommend dried stems.
How do I clean it?
Wipe with a soft damp cloth. For marks inside, warm water with a spoon of bicarbonate of soda left overnight lifts most staining.
