The easy way to find your belt size

The most reliable method is to measure a belt you already wear and like.

• Lay it flat and measure from the fold at the buckle end to the hole you actually use.
• That measurement, in inches, is roughly your belt size.

If you would rather measure your body, run a soft tape through your belt loops over your trousers where the belt sits, and use that figure. As a rough guide, a belt size is often around two inches larger than your trouser waist size, but measuring an existing belt is more accurate.

An automatic, or ratchet, buckle grips the belt strap at any point along a hidden track rather than using holes. That means you set the exact fit, with no row of stretched holes and no half-sizes.
