Is this real leather?
Yes, it is full-grain cowhide, the most durable grade, which ages and softens with use.
Will it fit notes?
Yes, it is a long wallet sized to hold notes flat as well as cards.
Full-grain leather is the top layer of the hide, the hardest wearing part, and it develops a patina over time that a plastic-coated wallet never will. Slim enough for a jacket or back pocket, with space for your cards and folded notes.
