• PVD coating: a modern bonded finish, often over stainless steel. It is hard-wearing, resists scratching and stands up well to water and sweat.

What "waterproof" should actually mean

A piece worth buying will say clearly that it can be worn in the shower, the sea or the pool without changing colour.
